THE FUTURE OF AGRICULTURE IN PAKISTAN

Agriculture as defined in the Dictionary of Sociology by Fairchild is the utilization of humanly useful plants and animals. It is wrong to consider agriculture as only tilling of land but agriculture industry is a very wide term. It includes, apart from tilling the land, many other activities of the human beings like horticulture, sericulture, forestry, fishing, animal breeding and poultry farming etc.

Agriculture is the oldest known profession of man and even today about two-thirds of the world population is engaged in this industry. As regards Pakistan about 50 percent to total population is directly department on agriculture. All over the world agriculture industry, which is primary in nature, supplies the raw material to tether manufacturing industries. The entire world population also depends upon agriculture for their good and such other necessities. Agriculture is one of the importance industries which is receiving high priority of the Government of Pakistan in her annual budgets and planning. About 80 percent of the foreign exchange is being earned by agriculture industry, while about 55 percent of the labor force and 270 percent of the total population is depending upon agriculture. My Favourite Character in Literature

My Favourite Character in Literature

A great literature is the mirror, upon which the realities of life are reflected, blend with the spark of truth, and since interpretation of human quest for the perfection for soul as well as knowledge. The makers of literature are the literacy personalities. There are many poets and other literary artists who enriched literature, but my favourite character in literature is William Wordsworth.

French revolution, as a matter of truth gave Realism, in its truest sense, to English literature. It made English poetry, in particular a poetry concerning the lives of the common men and women, who had been miserably ignored by the earlier poets. Wordsworth, the forerunner of the Romantic Movement which was built by the ‘French Revolution’ maintained root of his romanticism in realism. He always drew from life and its commonplace, experience, the inspiration of his poetry. In appearance, Wordsworth’s poetry is summed up in an exalt faithfulness in realism.

Wordsworth approached the realistic phases of man’s life through the angle of nature. He heard the still, and music humanity and suggested in man that all his miseries and misfortunes would vanish as he (man) went of Nature and embraced her.

My favourite character in literature contributed a lot to the enrichment of literature. He loved the common folk and he made them heroes. He loves nature and tried to live in the natural surroundings. Thus I am proud to have such a section.
