My Favourite Poet
(Allama Iqbal)
Allam Iqbal is my favourite poet. He is my selection
because through his poetry. He awakened the Muslims of the sub-continent to
demand for a separate homeland. Thus his name will ever be remembered in the rank
and file of the people.
He is our national poet if would be corrected to say
that he is the poet of the entire Islamic world. He has composed poetry in Urdu
and Persian. He was the lover of the nature. He wrote Ghazzals or Lyrics in the
beginning. He praises about birds, mountains hills streams in their natural
beauty.
Iqbal was of the view that man should be equal in saying
and action he should loves his fellow-men, he wrote two famous religious poems.
Shikwa and Jawab-i-Shikwa. There are other notable books namely bang-i-Dara,
Bai-i-Jibreel and Zarb-i-Kalim. These books contain very noble thoughts for the
guidance of mankind.
He was a great philosopher; he preached for the Muslims
Unity, he awakened the sleeping nation, infect; he asked all the Muslims of the
world to come in one platform, Unity is only solution for survival. The best of
his poetry gives the message World Muslims Unity’s. He wanted to say that all
the Muslims nations are in fact one great nation. This is because that they
believe in one God and His last Prophet Muhammad (may peace is upon him).
By virtue of his great service to Muslim Community,
Iqbal is my favourites. May God bless his soul?
